Governing By Hoax
Republicans have built an entire political movement around problems that don’t exist.
Noncitizens are not voting.
Trans people are not attacking people in bathrooms or ruining sports.
Drag queens, librarians, and teachers are not grooming children.
Immigrants are not committing rampant crime, ruining the economy, or stealing your prosperity.
Poor people are not lazy.
Doctors are not mutilating children.
Food stamps are not making food more expensive.
Elementary school kids are not being taught critical race theory.
Women are not using abortion as birth control.
Abortion medication is not poisoning your drinking water.
Feminism is not destroying families.
DEI is not making planes crash.
Climate change is not a hoax.
Windmills are not killing the birds.
Free school lunch is not communism.
Folks protesting ICE are not domestic terrorists.
The Ten Commandments in schools are not going to restore traditional values.
Women having rights is not a war on men.
Diversity is not discrimination against white men.
Criticizing Israel is not antisemitism.
Christian nationalism is not religious freedom, or even Christ-like.
Teaching history is not making our kids feel shitty about themselves.
Childless women are not a national emergency.
Kids are not using litter boxes at school.
And Haitians were not eating the dawgs.
We may not have a clean number for every hour Republicans waste on this nonsense, but here is one example: In 2025 alone, Republicans introduced more than 600 anti-trans bills across the country.
All of this time. All of this money. All of this legislative energy. And it goes to fake crises, invented enemies, and punishing innocent people.
Think of the problems they could have solved if they actually cared about the American people.

So true!!! Thanks for spelling it out so clearly, Dana!!👏👏😍
Political Process
The party of peace is declaring war
The party of austerity manufactures incredible debt
The party of life sends armed goons to kill us
The party of prosperity is tanking the economy
The party of exceptionalism is giving our kids PTSD
The party in opposition sits on their hands
The party of progressive ideals writes strong letters
The party of responsible action watches carefully
The party of human rights just complains
The party of JFK allows terror in our streets
The people watch their wallets empty
The people are afraid to go outside
The people cannot afford to get sick
The people are angry and confused
The people are losing faith in America
The press parrots the responsible narrative
The press is afraid of vindictive lawsuits
The press is owned by the men who fund chaos
The press never says what the people are saying
The press lies down and the regime smiles
When my sisters are raped in custody
When my sisters are gunned down on camera
When my friends rise in righteous caution
When we wring our hands and shake out heads
When we say goodbye to our greatness
There must come a time of real opposition
There must come a time when people resist
There must come a time when parties object
There must come a time when the press speaks
There must come a time when we fight for liberty
The darkness has not yet covered the sun
The evil has not yet triumphed over freedom
The leaders are still fearful of the power of people
They fling everything they can at us to weaken us
We stand tall and tell them all to go to hell
"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable".
- President John F, Kennedy
